Nigerian musician Naira Marley has filed a lawsuit against actress Iyabo Ojo, accusing her of defamation. The lawsuit is in response to Ojo’s Instagram post in September 2023, where she accused Naira Marley of engaging in spiritual and physical dealings with the late Mohbad, as well as causing mental harm to Mohbad, whom Naira Marley referred to as a brother.
In addition to a public apology, Naira Marley’s legal team has demanded 500 million naira in compensation for the alleged defamation. The lawsuit revolves around the alleged false and defamatory content shared by Iyabo Ojo on her official Instagram account.
